Trump himself dun have a solid mandate... he only won by 1-2% popular vote...

And yet we took his tariffs so seriously...

This shows it doesn't matter PAP win 99% or 51% for USA to take us seriously... Trump only cares who is in charge... no need to know how much percentage PAP won...

Singapore only 10% tariff but talk like we are going to die. China biggest trade to US also haven’t wobble. Have the government wonder why emperor Xi skip Singapore visit instead going to our neighbours? Most likely we are not a reliable partner to them.

When i listen to what they have to say, it sounds so shallow and like from a template.
Always focus on trade war, fearing mongering and how they are close to the ground.
All the tough questions on COL and other national issues, totally sweep aside.

Every time an anchor minister or laojiao MP speaks, they just stand behind and keep nodding like robots...

So if these ex-civil servants fail to get elected, do they go back to the civil service with their tails between their legs or will they all join NTUC?

my feeling and opinion la
Yup, totally agree. It's like some PAP factory manufactured them. All with the same sob story and background. Same old 'yes sir yes sir 3 bags full' mentality.

They quit their job to fight GE meh?
Even if they get elected, I doubt they will quit their job to do FT MP.

Ok la, maybe job hop like TPL jump to Grab to be Director of Public Affairs Corporate Development
I heard many of them say that they have to quit their jobs in order to fight GE because civil servants are supposed to be apolitical.

Most, if not all of these people will be promoted to Ministerial level if they got elected. I can't recall any former senior civil servant went on to work in the private sector while serving as an MP after winning their elections.
