I felt yesterday's incident with Gigene and Arrifin was a double whammy.

Not only did Gigene make the situation bad, I could be wrong but I don't recall Ariffin saying he forgave her.

He could have easily salvaged the situation by saying xxx is wrong, but I forgive her as we are all Singaporeans etc etc.

But no, he decided to use the rally to double down as though he was an activist posting as wakeupsg.

How does Dr Chee expect SDP to be credible like that? He can only attract the woke crowd which probably are his voter base but alienate everyone else.

Dr Chee should really ask both of them to step down. He really has a track record of bringing in the wrong kind of people.

What do you mean, now … TS? They’d been a small potato party ever since 1993 when CST left. The 2 hangers-on who’d only gotten their seats because the people believed in CST … lost said seats immediately when the next election came along.

Paul Tambyah looks to be the only decent guy in SDP.

Too bad got brought down by the new candidates in the party.

I was disappointed that Dr Chee fielded Arrifin given his background as wakeupsg activist and his case with KKH. Sad to say I was proven right. Woke politics can be really divisive.

but I guess for Dr Chee, birds of a feather?

As long as CSJ and Paul Tambyah gets in even though everyone knows chances not high, am happy liao.

We need more voices in the parliament to speak out on bread-and-butter issues like healthcare (which Paul Tambyah is an exprt), manpower, housing, transportation and other COL, etc.

MPs are not estate managers, and should prioritize national-level issues 1st.

Ariffin has potential, as long as SDP senior members guide him gradually he might be a strong candidate in a SMC 5 years later.

Other than him, the only ones which can leave an impression imo are perhaps Surayah Akbar and James Gomez.

As for Gigene Wong, after this election she can go liao la.
