the flat is free one?
As good as free to them la, just let it be. Political awakening must come to those people by themselves no one can force it.

but shows us micro sentiments of voters very important also. Cannot ignore if want to win.

TBH for most voters, if they have the conviction to see out the incumbent, they would've cast a protest vote for whoever was standing against them in the first place, even though they are not WP and useless.

Voting for incumbent, or spoiling, if their desired party isn't contesting there just... makes no sense.

There are many so call "rational" voters who dont think likewise.. this is hard truth. Citing poor quality candidate, joker parties ..etc as reasons for not voting opposition and emphasised that if a quality opposition contest they will be willingly to vote opposition.

Cannot blame them, some mosquito parties candidate seem to do more harm than good to general opposition image... dragging everyone down.

So this time WP the most popular opposition in SG sending a team there to contest, lets see how rational voters vote.

sorry guys, i want to know why faisal want to go tampines. Not as safe as Aljunied lor
Tampines has the highest number of Malay population across Singapore. Almost 24%.

That means every 1 out of 4 voters are our Malay friends. Therefore, the Malay communities are the kingmaker to elect the respective party to govern Tampines.

In Parliament throughout these 14 years an ex-Aljunied GRC MP, Faisal Manap champoined changes for the Malay community in Parliament. Therefore, he has fair share of his supporters in Tampines too.

I donno. While internet may be an echo chamber, alot minority voters from Tampines are excited to have Faisal Manap contest in Tampines GRC. This can be observed from WP Facebook page, Reddit and 154th media.

Plus we have Dr Ong Lue Ping as a star candidate for Tampines GRC too.

Faisal stepping up into Tampines would make a bigger impact than PS or SL going to EC/Punggol/Tampines

A lot of Malays not happy with Masagos for not speaking up for them unlike Faisal and Tampines got a high % of Malay votes

RESPECT for Faisal! (y)

There is the exact reaction that I observed on Reddit/Facebook/WP Facebook Page's Tampines GRC candidate post from our Malay communities in Tampines GRC. But whether it translates into votes for WP, is a question mark.

The result for Tampines GRC can go either way. Hope for the best and may Dr Ong Lue Ping enters Parliament as an elected MP.

A lot will also depends on those middle ground voters who have voted PAP during past elections, whether they will be convinced to move their votes to WP, that they want a bigger oppo representation to help them prevent PAP from:
- increasing GST during high inflation years
- steep increases in HDB prices
- bringing in more PRs and FTs in jobs that Singaporeans are willing to work in

Hey, if WP wins, got the "vote-1-get-2" scheme. PAP advisors will still be around giving support to the residents using PA funds.

the tricky part for pap is that there are a number of voters that voted for them in the past not necessarily because they really wanted pap, but because the opposition were sh1te and would have voted WP if WP contested there.

let's see how this plays out

High chance at least 20% of those 24% will vote for faisal considering how vocal he has been for their community. But idk, they met with this noor deros guy(who seems abit like a muslim extremist) and made a few promises to them? This is gonna be quite an issue for sg down the road
