If WP fails to wrestle Tampines GRC despite Faisal Manap and his A team, I will be very surprise and speechless.

The WP team contesting against the PAP team in Tampines GRC appears to be stronger. The slate of candidates are even stronger than WP Aljunied and Sengkang team.

I am hoping for the best coming 4 May. If PAP retains Tampines GRC, it means WP can close shop as Singaporeans do not want any changes politically.

maybe next GE, no chance ler? due to influx of new blood/new citizens that are probable of the more affluent type too or at least upper middle class; comfortable and will thus vote PAP for the stability

WP's Faisal Manap, who is leading the opposition party's team in Tampines GRC, said he does not see the battle in the constituency as one of himself going up against the PAP's Masagos Zulkifli, adding that it is a competition between teams.

The WP vice-chair was asked by the media in Tampines today for his thoughts on how it seemed like he was being pitted against Mr Masagos, who is anchoring the PAP team there.

Mr Faisal, who moved out of Aljunied GRC to contest Tampines GRC, said: "It's a competition between two teams. It's more of a team versus another team, so I don't see myself going against Masagos.

"But again, being in a GRC, which is a system established by the PAP, you must have a minority. And here I am - a minority for my team."
