Hopefully, WP Tampines Team can win this time round.

I think for most Tampines residents are like those wanting to vote for opposition, but in the past there are no credible opposition come here to contest.. This time round i think this is a very good opportunity to vote this strong WP Tampines slate into the parliament for more credible opposition and balance parliament..

We don't need anymore army generals in parliament pls, and kick out that son of punggol doctor pls and in Tampines Changkat, retire the Assistant SG of NTUC back to his safe habour! had enough of all their nonsense...

PAP lost Aljunied because LKY told Aljunied residents to "repent" for 5 years.

This time round, PAP is using the "guilt-trip" card. If WP wins, lost of ministers and will affect the govt functioning
The truth is, losing these ministers means very little to most of us as they were never truly speaking up for us in Parliament anyway. Most of them are just yes-men, pushing through policies that don’t genuinely serve the people’s interests, like the GST hikes, for example.

Ministers can be replaced, and if there is a lack of succession planning, that’s not the public’s problem but the failure of the incumbent. Don't guilt trip the voters.

Ya PM never say on podcast Masagos essential. Only list other ministers. Not a big loss

Plus better not have another army general. Or the military clique in cabinet more power.

I think we average around 3 - 5 ministers per ministry right?

Sometimes I feel we really too many office holders at the expense of taxpayers' money, maybe we should implement something similar to DOGE too.

40% of parliament MPs are ministers/mayors/DPMs (or similar positions).

Sun Xueling is at MHA (4 ministers), and MSF (3 ministers, 1 SPS).
Janil P is at MDDI (4 ministers) and MOH (4 ministers).
GKY is DPM (1 other DPM), and at MTI (5 ministers).

Maybe they should reform it and then either 1 minister, drawing 1 salary, running 1 ministry. OR, hire as many person as you want and call them all ministers but they all split that same 1 salary per ministry.

No point of the 2011 white paper (with all the ministerials salaries' review by Gerald Ee, etc.) If they can just keep inflating headcount and add onto the expenditure.

https://www.straitstimes.com/singap...-was-due-in-2023-deferred-says-chan-chun-sing

The one in 2023 got deferred.

Anyway the rank-and-files working at Civil Service earn so little and OT alot due to the red-tape/bureaucracy, etc. while the top management get paid so much.

No wonder you see so many people working in the civil service(s)quitting.

Hear that even in the SAF a lot of regulars are quitting in past 5 years due to lack of pay increases.

Then the remaining work get shared amongst those remaining which again lead to more regulars quitting.
The lack of NS-eligible males due to our dwindling population pays a big part too.

This vicious cycle continues, whilst those generals continue to draw high salaries while waiting for the chances to parachute as a PAP MP or inside a GLC.

I noticed Voucher Wong, Pinky, and Ah Heng didn't said Masagos is important for PAP so voters can vote WP without worrying Masagos will lose his job

As someone who is living in Tampines (stayed in three different areas in Tampines), I’ve never seen any PAP MPs walking the ground until it’s election time. Never had any PAP came knocking on my door and never seen them around unless it’s for community events. It has been like this for decades. It’s so bad that I often think that the MPs don’t even know where Tampines is. My guess is that they probably still use google maps to navigate around Tampines.
So tired of being taken advantage of.
KPK you have done nothing for the past 5 long years. The residents in Tampines (especially those staying at the estates you are governing) want you out and away. You have no value add, except for some durian trips to Malaysia that the GRC has hosted so you can bring some uncles and aunties to eat durians with you.
Masagos you are supposed to be a voice for the minority yet you sold yourself and your people out. Instead of speaking for them, you spoke against them. That’s absurdness of the highest level and a complete disrespect to our Malay community.

Please vote wisely my fellow Tampines friends and family. We are not voting just for ourselves, but also for the betterment for Singapore and Singaporeans.

Edit: Didn’t know LHL and LW was at block 800+ yesterday or I would have personally make my way over to welcome them to Tampines because I’m very sure it must have been so foreign and new to them as tourists in their own country lol

During thunderstorms this past few days the sight of people carrying umbrellas to walk over to OTH from the new BTOs and other blocks around it just cements my view on the competency of this current team. You build a multi million OTH project but fail to even have the basic connectivity to it? And even after so many years not a single covered walkway to link 500+ blocks to it? It’s telling when the only signature project of baby faced is some stupid bicycle rack system which in any case ate up around 15 parking lots? Cmon!

Lol people have been braving the rain to walk from Tampines Interchange to OTH ever since OTH was built. Both junctions are unsheltered and it’s come to a point whereby residents here accepted the fact that we will never receive sheltered walkways hahaha. Not sure about the blocks around OTH because I’m not staying at those blocks but it’s quite a sight to behold during thunderstorms and people are trying to walk to/from OTH to Tampines Interchange. If I’m not wrong now then they are starting to build the overhead bridge? Maybe started work late last year? GE lai liao better upgrade a bit ya.

And also to add on, BKY is not a particularly good MP too. He is just lucky to have conducted a lot of Facebook live in the past (esp Covid period), and also like to snap a lot of photos with residents. Many of the younger residents term him as Selfie Baey and Auntie Killer cause he’s just v good at PR. Not so sure if these kind of antics will work with the newer residents staying at the newer BTO areas.
Grass cutting, floor washing, maintenance of the estate is basic stuff my dear residents. If you need to write in or inform the MP about the problems all the time, are they actually doing work or are they just waiting for you to help them do theirs?
I don’t want to compare but just do a search online and see what other MPs do in other GRCs/SMCs. Some walk the ground often, no need to wait for you to send email or go MTPS to complain. Last year during the monsoon period, there was a spike of mosquitoes everywhere in my estate area because there were some fitness centre upgrading. ****ing ponding everywhere especially during the upgrading site. Many residents complained but nothing was done lol. Not sure why but maybe it’s the holiday season?
Think rationally and stay woke my dear residents.
You don’t get to earn 16k a month waiting for people to tell you what’s wrong at the estate they’re supposed to be serving at. Sometimes they need to be the servant leaders and do their own job.

A couple of firsts — our first condo visit of the campaign, and our first doorstop interview.

It was great to meet residents in a different setting and have thoughtful conversations about the issues they care about.

We’re grateful to the condos that have given us access to speak with residents. It’s a small but important part of what keeps our democratic process open and accessible.

I think they feel Tampines not that big of a threat after all?

LW himself was an army officer, just not a career soldier.
