General Cleaning and Reapplying Thermal Paste

Hey all,

I was just wondering if it's possible to diy clean the inside of a mbp and replace the thermal paste? I'm using a 2012 15" retina mbp that hasn't been serviced / cleaned since forever. Gets really hot even with normal web browsing use and sometimes lags badly when editing videos. Fans are turned up almost all the time even in air con room. Could it have something to do with the heat dissipation? Will cleaning out the dust and reapplying the thermal paste help with improving performance?

Cleaning dust might help. But since you’re replacing thermal paste, bug the right grade hor. Also, need to remove the old pst completely and cleaning.. one solvent to use is methyl spirit. No 70% IPA..

Ah ok! Anyone knows where I can get the cleaning and thermal paste reapplication service? I'm not very good with laptop hardware and I'm slightly afraid I might damage something taking my laptop apart to clean.
