Hi,

I'm typically following through the various telco plan comparisons whenever there are new launches for phone such as for the iphone 7 (http://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/feature-apple-iphone-7-and-iphone-7-plus-price-plan-comparison) .

I would like to provide some feedback for the editorial team to consider so that it might benefit the HWZ community and also the general viewers at large.

Singtel has the "easymobile" plan along with it "combo" plans which i feel would be good to include in the review.

The easymobile plan gives the user the flexibility to configure the plan on a monthly basis based on each individuals needs and usage. Currently there are 4 tiers- S,M,L,XL.

I find that the prices for the handset purchase along with the respective plans to be slightly more affordable compared to the combo plans and that i recently recontracted the M-tier plan which now offers addition 2 GB of data free now.

Here is a snapshot of the total price breakdown as an example:

Tier M plan

Monthly subscription- $45
Outgoing mins - 200 mins (can be tweaked)- 8 units
Outgoing SMS- 1000 sms (can be tweaked)- 4 unit
Data - 2 GB (normal) + 2 GB (extra) = 4 GB- 8 units
Iphone 6S 64GB - $698
Applicable discount - $50

Total cost for 2 years = $1728

Tier M plan

Monthly subscription- $42.90
Outgoing mins - 200 mins
Outgoing SMS- 1000 sms
Data - 2 GB
Iphone 6S 64GB - $698 (unable to get the handset cost as site was having too much traffic; typically the price difference is about $30 but using the same as easy mobile plan cost here)

Total cost for 2 years = $1727.60

To get the best plan out there, tailored more for talktime and data for easy mobile, this is how it will look:

Tier M plan

Outgoing mins - 200 mins (can be tweaked)- 8 units
Outgoing SMS- 250 sms (can be tweaked)- 1 unit
Data - 3.5 GB (normal) + 2 GB (extra) = 5.5 GB- 11 units

Just for your consideration:)

Hi maayub15,

Thanks for your inputs.

The combo plan is structured and thus straightforward to compare.

The EasyMobile plans are configurable in nature, and to quite a wide degree, thus it's very difficult to compare them. We can make a mention that they exist and it's up to the user to see what his/her preferences are to optimize usage needs.
