What is with the recent introduction so many local based ETF ah?
I mean the size of the ETF will relatively on the small size... liquidity gonna be crappy as well. Seems like everyone wants a piece of the 'robo pie'.
i guess Reit ETF makes sense since Singapore is Reit hub and asia ones trade during same time zone.
the existing reit etf spreads are ok. much lower than you diy into individual reits.

There is Ireland domiciled REIT funds so the US reits in it will be 15% tax, I think this is okay. Taxation shouldnt be the primary focus I guess.
Don't know which local brokerage to use for Ireland REITs? After adding the cost of the brokerage fee, worth to invest?

an appear-to-b gd stock may not be a gd -return stock!

eg a lousy stock which is definitely Not a good-return stock is eg Lan CapLan, i shared this many times CapitaLAN China

wat is a gd stock that can withstands shocks and eVERYthing yet still moving strong, promising returns ? eg Sasseur

mapletree appeared to be generously offering Great spore sales GSS but but it s been dancing like a crab
up down up down down down up : net returns is sill DONW loh

a gd return stock, no matter when u enter (at a normal situation , let s not talk abt times before Great depressn) u will still benefit from it when u sold it at some time

If a reits is not moving for months means it is not moving, regardless of valuation. It is "cheap" for some reasons. Maybe it is time to sell and look for better opportunities.

It all depends what you are after. If you are looking for price movements, I am not sure why you are looking into SGX stocks even.

Anyway, whats with Maple counters in red today?

On the contrary there r good sgx stocks (could be into other mkts like china) who provide gd price movements as well as Ultra high dividends… they r not even mutually exclusive (ok lesser gd examples to b quoted from sgx …)

Maple is to b in the red all the time, nothing new…. Hence i commented abt maple ….

Some evn qn me (just on a few page earlier) why is Maple industrial trust not gd for me!?? It is just ok, just ok….is maple supposed to b good? Supposed to be in red: yes!! And 一丈红

Sg a tax heaven , a busy port with logistics! If we dont get such reits, where else do we get them from?????
Yes china is next- big giant but w more uncertainty lately, so put on hold…. I hve stocks related to china properties listed in hK too…. But cannot bang all onto them too….. dont worry not Evergrande, lol

There is no right or wrong in investing.
Some buy dividend stock looking for capital gain.
While other may buy dividend stock just for the stability and dividend.
Buy and hold for 5 years, you will know who is better.

I brought Mapletree Ind Tr still in red but collect more than $1k of dividend. (4.2%)
I brought CapLand China T still in red but collect $1.5k dividend. (8.2%, such be around 6-7%, lazy to calculate)

Pls quote in %

What is 10million but getting just a few k dividends rite?

I dont mind a div stock w stability in prices….slowly increasing like some eg Sasseur

gd quote 4 lover of div stks just 4 divs & constant stream of income...evn if u r ov 60 ( w low mortality rate w silverhaired & w raised retiremt ) , Growth is still MORE impt

"Unless you're over 60/70 and no other source of income, you should not be looking at dividend at all. Growth is more important. "
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/...-recommendation.6499828/page-4#post-137814998some will say there is no right or wrong

When it comes to big bluechip reits, it is important to look at the yield on cost..When Maple reits and Keppel DC are yielding at 4% or lower..it is a no go. Now that MIT yield is starting to rise above 5%, it is time to nibble a bit.
