Unbelievable.

My Ascendas dropped to more than 10% negative and then now positive 1%. The other Reits still in red though.

To continue buying KPO needs iron in a person.
Ha ha....I have refrain from visiting this forum for many months. Just keep calm, collect dividends and continue accumulating on its way DOWN which of course push me into the red zone. Now with this surge recently, I am back in the green zone.

One thing I noticed is a number of my REITs counters are currently being loaned out as I am in the SBL programme. KPO is one of the counter. Looks like interest is slowly crawling back in the REITs sector.

Haha! Looks like already very high now. I think they know interest cannot continue gg up

The understanding is interest can continue to go up but only at slower rate. Nobody know where we will land and how long before interest rate reverse.

Good for you.

The way down was long and I don't have that much ammo. Commission on multiple trades this way could already cost me alot.

The only thing now is I am less red. So even if I buy now, it is average down.

Interest and inflation are at opposite ends and it is like a cycle. Eventually we will have to see whether economy break first or inflation comes down first. It is a chicken and egg situation. Interest up, ppl will want to sell their place higher to earn money. When price goes up, inflation goes up and interest have to go up to curb inflation. Eventually have to see whether economy will break before inflation heads down then interest goes down also
US fed wants soft landing but won’t happen. Eventually we will have to see whether industry breaks first or fed gives up. So far apple etc is strong regardless of earnings. I think those like ford, GM etc likely gone case. The next 12 months will be exciting

During exciting times, important is to be able to pick the right stocks at good price.

Reits are having a good run recently. Up abit like almost EVERYDAY. Unbelievable.

Looks like global market still think that Fed will slash rates to near zero and turn on printing machine again eventually.

I kind of believe that only a black swan event will force the FED to cut rates aggressively to near zero.

Else, Fed can just slowly cut rates till maybe 3% and stays there while keeping inflation low and stable.
In the 90s to 2000 dotcom crisis, US fed fund rate was around 5% and the economy is able to function just as well.

C2PU is an odd-one, very tempted to pump more due to potential for the price and dividends to grow further....

I am currently studying both Keppel Pacific Oak and Manulife. Freaking > 10% dividend. This one huge fear. 😆!

2 conditions:

(1) Employment rate must skyrocket
(2) Inflation must go to 2%

If (1) happen, then like rates cut to 0%. If (2) happens, likely interest stays at 2%.

I will take typical bank rate as 2.5 to 3%. I don’t see a problem with reits. The interest is transferred down to retails who is transferred to end users. Haha!

Why no Prime?
Out of these 3, I like Keppel Pacific Oak more. Prime is own by private equity and I not comfortable with the sponsor. Manulife I think their gearing is 49% off my head. This is crazily high. Prime reit also at 49%. Keppel at 37.5%. I think likely I will take a small stake in Keppel.
