There is one ETF which do not have US Tech as top 10 in the holdings. Cannot remember which, but is something like a "World Index". Contains mostly the huge Europe companies ranging from LVMH, Nestle, Novo Nordisk, etc...

While I will never underestimate the power of S&P500, one of the other ETFs I am vested in is VHYD. The top 10 components total weight about 15%.

I refer to CICT today news but also for SREITs in general. For their EFR, if one do not have sufficient money to subscribe for the new shares, what options do I have for these non-renounceable offering? I used to take a 2.5% loan from my pb to fund the new shares and I wonder if there is any alternative, like will there be sufficient time for one to sell off some shares after xr and then use the proceeds to pay for the new (cheaper) shares?
Take loan to subscribe for this sounds not so great. How many shares are you holding? It's only 56 for every 1000 shares. Unless you holding millions of shares...

That'd be either the MSCI ACWX (world ex-US) or EAFE (developed markets ex-US/Canada) index.

Yes I have large positions in a few SREITs
56 shares cost about 100+. So unless your holdings are huge then maybe got problem paying up. I think I have 10000 shares so only 1000+ and probably a bit more if I oversubscribe. But likely will not get a lot since many will oversubscribe.

You should have followed same as me in this thread a few months back. Now too high based on my average buy price so not topping up. Got CICT rights exercise I add.

My lowest was 1.74 bought last year until recent 2.07 I think. But majority was bought last year below 1.90. Should have bought more then. Sigh...

Nice way of telling people you have so many shares that each time there is a rights issue you need to get a loan from your private banker. Well played.

😅

Lol, finding fault with stock price going up. 😅
So you still think I'm finding faults yeah?

https://www.theedgesingapore.com/ne...s-acquire-ion-orchard-185-billion-subject-egm

CICT's manager proposes to acquire ION Orchard at $1.85 billion, subject to EGM

CICT's manager plans to raise $1.1 billion to pay for ION from a combination of a placement and a preferential offer to unitholders. The private placement comprises 171,737,000 new units to institutional and other investors at an issue price of between $2.038 and $2.091 per unit, to raise $350.0 million. The preferential offer comprises 377.3 million new units at an issue price of $2.007 per unit, in the ratio of 56 preferential offering units for every 1,000 existing units held by eligible unitholders to raise $757.2 million.
------------

CICT (C38U) last traded price: $2.13

Who's the winner? CapitalandInvest (9CI) (+3.55% today).
Who's the loser? Anyone who bought CICT above $2.00.

Should be the same bah. Scb will usually send the documents if there are rights or scrip dividends.

rights issue are totally normal events for REIT investors. the big question is whether it is a good rights issue or lousy rights issue.

If gearing is largely maintained and DPU will go up, I don't have a problem with that. I will definitely subscribe and press for excess. any dip in a capitaland REIT due to rights issue is temporary and an opportunity to buy.

So I will say that rights overhang will disappear and C38U year end price will be higher than current price. Whats your call on C38U, you think it will go down in price? We can return to this thread at the end of the year to see what happens to C38U.

I am terrible at stockpicking so i could be wrong but if I am going to press for rights issue and apply excess, I must believe that the price is going to rise, otherwise I should exit the position.

I have roughly the same $$$ amount of C38U and 9CI, so nice rally for 9CI for me. 😅

SCB now all can settle online liao. No need wait for the documents. I get the updates via email and SMS.
Long time never subscribe for rights liao. Seems like a decent price, though below $2 would be even better.

I apply same logic for US stock trillion dollar market cap concept to S-Reit. CICT is bluechip sure will rise long term IMHO.

Both my CDP and moomoo CICT all below 1.90 but still I will apply for rights. Bluechip SReit is like SGX 3 local bank stocks hard to go bankrupt unless delisted.
