when he adv "The best way for dividend investors to measure performance is to look at the total return of a stock as this takes into account not only the dividend’s return but also the share price return.'

I'm holding, why sell? MNACT is recovering from HK riot, outlook is good. Dividend also good.

Holding for quite some time. Though aware of the improvements in situation, but does not seems to be reflected in the share price.

Take time. Lendlease REITs last time also very slow, now break IPO price and still heading north strongly.
REITs are slow moving, unless BB pushing. Pick REITs for dividend more than short term capital gain.

Hi guys, I have some 30%-40% capital appreciation as I loaded up on some of the REITS after the covid crash.

Counters involved here are: Starhill, Lendlease, ESR

Any idea if I should lock in the capital gains and re-enter the position at its current price/sale price?

Starhill and ESR FA just avg, can take profit if you want.
Lendlease is in the process of acquiring 100% of JEM, and there are still few properties in the pipeline. I will say keep long long.

any views on Ascendas?

performance has been pretty poor

do you think it'll get better once covid becomes truly endemic?

Ascendas REITs result will be out in 2/8/2021, you can see for yourself how is their performance. I think should be stable.
Stock price movement is not necessary par with stock performance.
Outlook of industrial and logistic sector REITs, still stable and with small percentage of growth.

It makes sense to sell and diversify into a broad based index or another group of stocks which you feel is undervalued and have better fundamentals. But it doesnt makes sense to sell and stay in cash waiting for correction. It might just keep going up.

Nobody or no website can do that.
You need that REITs/ company to announce the result then you will know "when" and "how much".

You can base on past result/ payout date to estimate when is the next one.
(some people just don't believe in estimation lol)

Actually there is one.

https://www.reit-tirement.com/p/sreits-results-date.html
This website is quite comprehensive and up to date.
i) data are accurate
ii) they provide insights, which tends to be quite impartial in my opinion.
