dividend warrior, I saw ur post on your blog and you have stated the 2014 dividends schedule for your portfolio. I realized MLT appears quite a few time how do they pay the dividend? By quarterly?

If DW allow, i can answer this on behalf of him.

MLT pays its distributions quarterly.

Hello all

May I know what you guys think of "payment of management fees via unit issue"? I notice that some REITs do this more often, while others don't.
Is this a good or bad sign?

On one hand, it causes dilution which is bad, while on the other hand it shows that the management is willing to take a greater stake in the REIT which is good?
Is it a way of keeping DPU high at a time when earnings from operations is insufficent?

Thanks!

Dont many public listed coys pay mgmt in some form of restricted stock options? Its not that dilutive when most of the time it's barely 0.1% of the float.

Maybe u can give some examples of dilutive compensation?

Hi SpeedingBullet

I noticed that Suntec REIT tends to pay more of their management fees in shares as compared to some others (say FCT) As you say, it is not very dilutive, but I am just wondering what is their motivation for doing so.

u pay management with shares... you encourage management to perform better so that share price will increase due to better performance...

Divested Sabana in July 2013. Lost faith in their management, and still no news about any new tenants!

thanks.....

hmm.

I think MGCCT also

Oh yes. Missed out on that. :o Actually seems like quite a lot. A quick check shows the following: Ascott Reit, CapitaComm, CapitaRChina, CDL H-Trust, Fortune. Am sure there are more which I could have missed out.

Others like FrasersComm and K-Reit seems to have converted from semi-annually to quarterly.

Actually, does it really matter for long term investor??? :s11:
