Hi I have a question regarding rights issue. I am still learning so please pardon me. :o

Compared to another investor who just buys the share ex-rights, does an existing shareholder (who subscribes to the rights) have any advantage? Or is there advantage only if the existing shareholder manages to get excess rights? Thanks.

market price will adjust before and after the X-Right date such that there is no advantage to existing investors or new investors.

The word "Rights" sound very satki. Sound like you have some special privilege. dont let it fool you

I understand the part on the market price being no advantage to existing investors or new investors.

But my question was more specific, is there an advantage to existing investor if he manages to get excess rights? Thanks.

Of course there is an advantage of getting excess shares. Since you are able to buy MORE discounted shares than what is allocated to you. And cheaper than buying from the market. Assuming the share price is trading above the subscription price.

Think weakening of Rupiah has quite some impact to Q4 result ...

For Q4 in SGD$,

Net Property Income is -5.5%, while DPU is -24.3%. And gearing ration up from 24.5% 34.3% ...

But future result should be better once Rupiah rebound ...

Not vested.

Lippo's results in idr terms is good, but gotta face reality that idr weakened significantly, thereby affecting the fx translation to strong sing dollar. Vested

I think the rights issue reminds us that, once we reached our desired portfolio size, you should still keep bullets for all these additional investments!

that actually depends on whether the fund raising is for a good investment opportunity.

Example, if it does fund rising to buy some crappy property at an overpriced valuation, it really isn't good to throw more money in... but rather a chance to cash out and seek other counters. Or cash out n wait for the selling to stop and re-enter at a lower price
