Genshin is their money cow,. after so many anniversary they wont even give a standard 5*. Community not happy they will still buy primo and C6. so they do not have to keep the masses happy wouldnt affect their income.. u quit , someone will fill your shoe... once your emptiness hits you, you are back to the game...

i remember during the first anniversary some whale not happy with the gift.. choose to quit and make a video to prove their point . they are destroying their 5* weapon by leveling up the 3* weapon with it...

u just got caught in sunk cost trap

take it as cut loss (time/$$$) so he can move to games that makes him happier
