Just want to ask. How to get to Batu Cave from Genting?

Any bus or cab that we can take from Genting?

Will be in Malaysia for 3d2n and we are planning to go to Genting first then Batu Cave - KL - going back to Singapore.

accident waiting to happen. me and my friends always take this bus to and fro kl. the driver drives crazily fast. just took this bus 3 weeks ago. is this bus company still operating now? or temporary closed?

So sad to hear of such news and yes this bus service always pack as they allow standing which may cause uneven weight spread and maybe one of the possible cause to the accident

don't worry bro, the usual SG - Genting coach companies drive safe 1. it's the yellow Genting transport company that drives crazily fast.

you staying until when? im going this sat. have a safe trip and enjoy yourself. huat ah!

first world plaza got one pub live band and epl screening, to enter you need go inside casino first.

otherwise you have to go the sports bar below Genting hotel.

Uphill no issues according to my Malaysian buddies who are up there now...however traffic will be diverted at Chin Swee caves to KL...

For those intending to travel to Genting, road diversion as below.

Bus fell when going downhill!

What bus company is that?

I was on my way back on 21st Aug. Coach left at 2.20pm, about 10 mins early.

Passing by the accident site, could see the gaping hole in the stone road barrier where the bus crashed through. Think the accident happened abt 15-30 mins before we reached. 2 aunties on my coach said they noticed a very crowded bus leaving sometime before us. They speculated could be that bus that went down.

Horrific, man. Vehicles were lined at the roadside. People getting out trying to get a glimpse of the bus. Slope so steep and ravine so deep, can't even see the bus.

Hope they do some religious rites on-site to cleanse it. Else the area going to be "dirty" for years.

Heard my coach driver said that bus driver only 2 to 3 months on the job. Maybe not enough experience.

Going downhill is no joke. Too fast, lose control when turning corner. Try to brake too much, even worse. Brakes will burn out, become no brake at all.

He also commented his worst fear is engine die. The steering wheel will lock up. Imagine that happening while going downhill and turning corner. OMG!

Damn joke man ... Indoor theme park already do not have
- ferris wheel
- slow water ride where u can throw coins in wishing well,
- caterpillar slow train,

then sometimes the so call roller coaster also breaks down ... sigh, dunno how 'malu' they can call it indoor theme park

Drive safe people, there is a reason why going downhill in Genting have lots of high bumps to negotiate near corners and please heed the "Use Engine brake" signage seriously...
Losing brakes due to overheating and going downhill is no joke. I know.

ya... drove up/dowb with friends once.. have to stop halfway to cool down the brake pad as can smell burning smell when coming down.

use engine brake mah, auto car also can engine brake. take care of the brake pads, heard the bus accident is cos brake spoil.

There was this junket in Las Vegas saying how he threw Bill Gates, one of the richest man in the world, out of his penthouse suite. He says BG pays $50,000 a night and want to extent for another night. He had to throw BG out because he has a whale coming in who will bet $50,000 a hand. From this it is clear how the casino-resort treat the tourist and the gambler.

if I'm not wrong, junket business is almost non existent in Genting since they are the monopoly in Malaysia.

as for SG, read in the news that junket operators in Macau and US wants to bring customers here but need apply licence. no more news about them thereafter.
