Over the past 6 months, I went up every month coz given free rooms and 1-for-1 room fair. However, unlike in the past, I stopped playing during these trips, not even to buy their NN package. Recently, they stopped giving me free rooms, not even for birthday month. So pragmatic. Haha.

If you find the food expensive, do try their buffets. I find it value for money, compared to SG.

I find it amusing to see people rolling thousands of RM (and maybe losing) in the casino, yet unwilling to treat themselves to a nice meal. Better to enjoy first before losing your cash to the casino, right?

It must be true. If you go up every month for the past 6 months and not gamble at all then they will log you out. I go up once every 3 months and gamble and get a few points and I have been offered 2N free rooms every months in the past few months.

It just amazes me if you don't gamble what do you do there.

The buffet, you mean the FH buffet on the third floor at about RM30. It is a Yon-tau-foo buffet if you like that sort of thing.

Have anyone drove all the way up to genting in the middle of the night before?
Due to work, might only reach there probably after midnight.

No need take taxi la..
1. Free shuttle bus from Genting to Skyway lower station.
Shuttle bus station at carpark fronting Highland Hotel.

2. At Skyway lower station, go down 1 floor and took the free shuttle bus to Awana (loop service). This shuttle bus stop at Goh Tong Jaya bustop on the way to Awana . This GohTong Jaya bus-stop is also the bus-stop for the Strawberry farm, just 5 mins walk away.

3. On way back to Genting, just wait at the same bus-stop to take the shuttle bus to Awana (loop service) then to Skyway Lower station.

All in, less than 30 mins. You can take a photo of the bus schedules at the Skyway Lower Station.

is this still valid for strawwberry farm?
need to know as coming trip no driving up

go to any tour agency like grassland, consortium or etc to book. Package is cheaper then buying separately. unless you are driving.

Fog can be really bad up there, so think twice if you want to take the risk of heading up during those hours. If you continue to drive, you might not be able to see much in front, and if you slow down, will there be a risk of a maniac driving up behind you? Scary thought. :(

Drove up a few times at night. Make sure your headlight is working and have enough sleep. Most of the road is pitch dark only upon reaching toll or R&R then got street light. Beware of animal crossing especially monkeys. Its best to have a buddy to keep you company.

Drove up at nite a few times. The latest time was 11pm plus from foothill of GH. Drove down also a few times. Latest was about 2am plus.

What you like to know? Most important, make sure your car have the real fog lamp.

Worst experience was when I couldn't move for some time. The fog was so thick that you can't see anything in front or behind. You can't even see your car front bonnet. It was total white cloud all around. That happened when it was only 8pm plus half way up. Luckily, it didn't take long for the fog to go away

Darkness or total darkness is not an issue but the fog. Headlight perfect also no use. You need real fog lamp. The darkest nite in GH was not where compared to the country road that I drove in oz with tall trees on both sides of the narrow road. It was total darkness. You see nothing on the rear mirror or when you turn your head to look behind.

There's one CitiExchange coach services at Kovan..located at the bus station..or if u live near to MRT station..take the Northeast Line all the way to CHinatown's People's Park Center - very convenient...there're plenty of bus companies there - eg.707, etc...guess tat's a better option than Golden Mile.
