just back from genting as well

surprisingly very cold
i think is even colder than i went in dec period

watch 2 movie over there + "illuminate" show (super promo but walk in only , online no such 1 for deal)

overall nice break

transtar upgrade us to soliature from genting to SIN

not me...I only walk, look, see and eat....with my wifey...serve them right to lost 500k. Stupid lor...to try and win the casino back? Hahaha... me seldom in casino...likely bringing my kids to gaming place, bowling, walk around, eating and only go to casino at nite for couple of hours. Short stint in the afternoon but really short...15 mins??!!

Hi all, now check in is using counter. So i can still help my frens to check in first by using their passport if they hvn reach genting right? Booked with free room fwh

If you don't pre-book, you run a risk of not having a room when you get there.

You can either sign up online and wait for them to mail you the card, or sign up when you get there - just go to the membership counters.

Members who qualify for free rooms will normally receive an SMS or an email from Genting. Of course, the more $ you spend there, the more free rooms you'll get.

To apply card, don't need to gamble there. When I applied online, they sent me the blue card (that's the most basic, I think), then got it changed to silver when I got there. I read some said SG passport might get silver card right away if you apply there.

of cos...FWH basic room.
Resort Hotel - room much much bigger
Maxims and grand - cost RM 1500/nite...huge room

Low season walk in ok but expensive compare to online rate.

Can't remember as it's over a year already. I wasn't sure if it'd be approved, and only expected a letter for me to go collect if approved. Quite surprised to actually find a card in the mail. If you're concerned about time frame, would suggest you apply when you reach there.

What do you need the cable car for? Unless you plan to use it as part of your transport to KL, walking or the shuttle bus is good enough to go round Genting.

I only stayed at the World Club room in First World, so can't comment on the others. World Club has express check-in, and its own breakfast area.
