But compared to taking a morning bus - it's pretty torturing trip plus u hv to wake up very early to catch the 6.30am departure bus to genting. I prefer the night coach as i can sleep all the way there..so it depends on individuals. Pro's and con's of both early morning departure vs late night departure.

Nowadays, the First World Hotel implemented charges for any early check in. If check-in before 3am it's additional surcharge of RM100 i think...and progressively lesser as u check in nearer to 3pm. I think if u check in b4 9am..still hv to pay additionally abt RM40 or ard that figure. For me - I'm still half fresh by the time i reach genting since I can sleep well in the bus.

for mi i either take the morleng bus or go take plane to klia xfer with the aerobus... albeit more expensive but gets there fast compared to sinkie bus

quick update on mushroom farm:
It has been flattened to rubble =(

BUT the restaurants are still around, mainly moved to Amber Court
Finally got to visit the infamous AC >_< after so many years of stories, it was an experience worth mentioning...

Its a 10min bumpy van ride up to AC, the eating places are very makeshift/basic, they just took over the empty shop lots there, placed tables and setup shop..
there are at least 3-4 eating houses there.
It maybe a long wait for the return van to come thou as the crowds were thin, and the place is abit hairy to wait around at night...but the security presence is clear visible thou...

#AC is not as scary as tot, its just old and tired...
reminds me of golden mile (the one with the cinema), just alot of empty shop spaces in various states of disarray =(
noted that alot lot construction workers staying there for the nearby worksites...

Anyone know does the self check in system allow us to request for double bed instead of 2 single bed? I don't mind paying rm15 for it...

u cant any request u have to go to the counter and pay 15 dollar....

Actually u CAN use the kiosks even for special requests as per my last visit in Nov. U just need to seek help fr one of the assistants at the kiosks - the software of the kiosks are ever upgraded fr time to time - so it means there are changes fr time to time. There's a menu for u to choose which special requests u r opting for.

BUT u STILL hv to pay RM15 for the special requests (eg.single vs double bed request, etc..)..u will need to hv a credit card on standby for the RM15 deduction as well as for the early check-in surcharge. And btw - the surcharge for early check-in as of my last visit is NOT a FLAT charge of RM5 - there's a schedule/ table of how much u hv to pay according to the time. The earlier u request to check-in, the higher the surcharge will be as i mentioned in my previous posting.

ps: the kiosk normally is NOT AVAILABLE during the early hours of the morning - only open up for use AFTER 9am or 10am i think. But even after 10am, as i remember - the surcharge is still not as low as RM5.
