To be fair, this is a Genting FAQ thread which can mean either RWS or RWG though a large majority of the posts pertain to RWG and not RWS.

Then again, this thread is nested inside the Malaysia Sub-Forum, so perhaps discussion regarding RWG is already implied.

just went there for lunch earlier. collected gd points 1k for free spending. by now you shld hv received the sms. and subsidised vit c etc for 28gd points. need to print out fr machine. the gd pts are better than vouchers which last till july.

It looks like they are adopting macau casino practices when they reopen.
Sands macau has been offering free rooms of up to 14 days stay to members in hong kong too, but there is problem if you are working in hong kong, will need to stay home for 14 days after coming back and most likely company will take the opprtunity to sack you if not in the gaming industry.

Ferry and buses also practice social distancing which limit the number of people going from HK to macau, causing hardship for hardcore and professional gamblers

Have to cancel my home leave from HK to singapore for Easter and Golden week in May as need to stay home order for 14 days on arrival , going to miss genting free maxims and genting grand club rooms for a period

Understand Malaysia is going to quarantine non citizens on arrival at checkpoints which most likely, have to plan a 29 day stay if going to genting highlands, RWG

Visiting MBS or RWS during this time is the best except for the $150 day levy
It looks like they are no more selling daily levy based on the poster for RWS.

If they reset the machine to default factory state during this period, machne will start new and eat all the way.
New machines normally do not pay much.

Normally, the slot attendants will do recording of machine data on the screen after they change out the cash box to a new one.
I ask the slot attendant in macau why she needs to record, answer is in case the chip inside the machine fail, they need to re input the data to the new chip.
Another reason is the macau gaming authority regulate the payout so they prefer written record rather than machine screen records.
Have seen recording in Genting, never see in MBS or RWS though

I mean think about it, Genting is in a business where most of it customers' spending falls largely into 'discretionary spending' (all except for the fattest whales of cos)

And the immediate concern post-pandemic is economic survival for most of us. Not discretionary spending like a few days in Genting.

The Great Depression started in 1929 and lasted until the late 1930s. If the Great COVID-19 Depression (my phrase) is worse, there's no telling how long it will last.

Yup shouldnt change much i guess. This artificial gamification of membership tier cannot go so far. Without some concrete incentive programme in their marketing arsenal, it's gona be tough to woo some cautious sgreans when the covid situation dissolves
