If you are talking about the Phil Ivey case, there was another case in which he won $9.6 million at Borgata, a New Jersey casino. After the Crockford case, the casino went back and review their loss and sued Ivy for the return of their winning.
This article and the accompanying video explains some of the request Ivy made during the gaming session and what he did to gain an advantage at the game.
What is ‘edge-sorting’ and why did it cost a poker star $10 million in winnings?

Fascinating stuffs!
I do not know why too.
Maybe they think it's easier to go through the system in Spore since Dr Wong is a Singaporean.
The casino ***** smelly.. the 'trick' that he employed actually resulted from the fault of the casino's card supplier for not ensuring that their cards had a uniform pattern on the back. He didn't physically mark the cards or handle them in any way, hence he did not break any of the game rules. IMHO he won that money fair and square.
Actually, believe it or not, Phil is not the one who is the expert in edge sorting but rather his attractive companion Cheung Yin Sun aka Kelly aka The Baccarat Machine aka The Baccarat Queen.

Her story is so fascinating that they are actually making a movie about her life.

Back to the Ivey case, while it's true that they did not mark the card physically and make use of imperfection of the card to gain an advantage, they did game it by arranging the 'high value card' for them to read and to bet only after the initial 4 cards have been dealt.
If they play it fair and square like the rest of us common folks, they would never have been able to win so much money.
Any bros like to go up mountain alone? How’s the feeling like?
I think the majority here would agree with me that Phil Ivey did not do anything wrong and disagree with the court decision.
We all want to gain an advantage on anything in life not just in the casino.
Whose fault is it that the casino uses cards with imperfection. Casino not Ivey.
Ivey requested the cards to be turned around. It is the casinos decision to do it or not. They choose to do it voluntarily and Ivey have no power to compel them to do it. They have to live with their decision. Just like our decisions in everyday life have consequences.
Just like say the stores says we can buy tv for $99 if we spend more than $250 in the store and I get all my relatives and friends to go for it, it is perfectly moral and legal.
Yes Ivey played fair and square like us common folks in everyday life and gaming for advantage is an everyday matter for us all.
Can't agree more. Ivey set the terms under which the game was to be played, casino accepted. Then when they found out he has an advantage, they can't accept that he beat them fair and square under their rules and refuse to payout. ***** smelly.
