No much time saving by flights.is there a way to go genting without taking the long hours bus ride?
not really so much about time saving, more like i don't want to sit 6 hours inside the busNo much time saving by flights.
If wanna be "fair", then starting from the time plane flies / bus starts:
Flight time 40min at times. Taxi etc.
Reach immigration within 60min.
Usually can clear within 15min during non hol and off peak flight times like 9ish am flights.
Subtotal 75min
From there you can 1.5 to 2h coach or grab.
Total travel time is within 4h.
But of cos take into account check-in etc. If no check-in luggage, then just hiong 60min before flight with e-boarding pass. Done it many times.
if you are really lucky, saying flying on SQ or MH, may be upgraded to business if flight overbooked.
Plenty opportunities to pee and stretch.
I usually don't coach from KLIA cos only 2 timings I believe. I prefer to KLexpress to Sentral. More options. Hourly or half hourly bus schedule by Genting and Aero. Or if wanna, grab will only cos 60 to 80rm including toll and plenty.
Nowadays, IPTV required a minimum 2-3Mbps data speed. They have upgraded the Genting Grand rooms to have wifi. Why is there a need to do such a heavy set up?
You can always check the the room availability around any hotel area when you are at the Resort World Genting. Thereafter, you can approach their respective front desks and request for the cheapest room at those hotel(s) which still has/have vacancies. If book on the spot in real life instead of through online website or app, which hotel got the best chance of getting a room cheapest?
Thanks. I have been offered before 800rm by these touting people. Not school holiday or anyyhing. Probably just trying to chop carrot me.You can always check the the room availability around any hotel area when you are at the Resort World Genting. Of course, if your "cheapest" means the cheapest hotel in the Resort World Genting, then it has to be 1st World Hotel - Standard Room. There are usually "tout-people" around the starbucks or the escalators to the SkyCasino area. Try approaching them, a Deluxe Room (at 1st World Hotel) on a weekday was around RM$150-180 when I last checked in Oct 23.
PS: Givansingapore, a member here, mentioned previously that a Deluxe room is not cheap on a weekend. He said, and I quote: "The price of 2 superior deluxe rooms is almost equivalent to the price of a Crockfords superior room for Saturday."
