Guys, is grand imperial the best/only place to get dim sum at Genting? Is it good?

We hereby advise that there will be a temporary closure of the downhill road from the Mushroom Farm Roundabout (KM0.7) to Genting Sempah Security Check Point on Wednesday, 27 September 2023 from 12noon to 2.30pm. This is to facilitate the safe access of participants of Le Tour de Langkawi 2023 (LTdL 2023) Stage 5 race from Slim River to Genting Highlands.


Please note that the timing of the road closure is approximate as it may start earlier or end later than stated.


The road going up to Resorts World Genting is not affected and Awana SkyWay will be operating as usual.

Anyone can give info or tips on the outdoor theme park Genting Skyworlds ?

I downloaded the Genting Skyworlds app but cannot find where to buy tickets. Is it because my location is Singapore now ?

So I should buy from member app and then link the tix in Skyworlds app later ?

The activities eg F&B in Skyworlds earn GP ? Don't seem to see any link to membership.

Canton-i was nice. Simple setting. Near the escalator area. Sadly, there weren't many customers compared to other Chinese cuisines restaurants.

I tried tried earlier...

Under the app: (1) select "Theme Parks"; (2) Click onto the "Genting Skyworlds Theme Park' Picture; (3) Select "Combo"; Select your preferred options (there are 9 of them); Select "date"; then select "Book Ticket"

I think it may be better that you buy the outdoor theme park tickets on that day itself, as you may need to arrange for a replacement date if the place is affected by inclement weather on that day.

If taking 707 back sin at 12:20, under normal traffic condition, around what time will reach Malaysia custom?

Apart from Grand Imperial, other eateries which serve dim sum in RWGenting are :

- Wanhoi Yamch'a 云海小聚
- Genting Palace 云华宫
- Cha Chaan Teng 茶餐厅
- Yu Palace 御厨
- YouMiQi 有米气

Paiseh... I can't remember whether do Oversea Restaurant 海外天 (near the indoor theme park area) and Seasons (Beside Genting Grand Counter) serves dim sum too.

PS: Nam Heong had closed down. It is Pepper Lunch now.

Ooh... I haven't tried eateries which are available in Singapore like Din Tai Fung 鼎泰豐 & Paradise Dynasty 乐天皇朝. I will check with FuHu (at Crockfords) whether do they have dim sum when I pop by for dinner in my coming trip. Cheers.

The price shown now is M$151 (one day tix) . Is this a discounted price compared to buying same day in Dec. 2 weeks ago the price was even lower at M$128.

I kinda like Wanhoi Yamch'a 云海小聚. Nice and affordable! Of course, the food at Grand Imperial is really nice... even a simple dish like 麦菜炒咸鱼 is already so very nice!

I was using Genting App on my android earlier. Don't think tickets will ever be sold out. You just have to queue awhile longer during school holiday. You can also try to see whether KLOOK offers a better package. Good Luck!

Based on my travelling experiences with 707inc, duration from Singapore-Genting & Genting-Singapore is approximately 6.5 hours (without jam) during low peak period.

Peak = School/Public Holidays
Super Peak = Weekends of School/Public Holidays

Weather is a critical factor for Genting SkyWorld outdoor theme park.
Heavy rain on that day or week-long, almost 75% outdoor ride wont be available.

Wiser to buy the tickets on the day itself.
And most wise to check out the visitors' reviews, so far, I only see lower than average reviews.

I was thinking of buying 2 days. Maybe I just buy online in advance 1 day and buy 2nd day on the actual day. It would big disappointment just in case can't get Tix because outdoor theme park is the main reason for going to Genting for this trip.

Hmmm. We plan to be there from open till close. 5D4N so not rushing for time.

What more does VIP cover ? Outside the 3 hr can we still play in the themepark or restricted to only that 3 hrs ?
