Thot I would mention in passing - during my last trip to Genting. At one of the 500 bacarrat tables in the Gold members area on Level 3, after dishing out the banker and player cards, and as the dealer was in the process of taking insurance bets, one tiong standing beside me quickly proceeded to advise 2 aunties to place the insurance bets with him instead of at the table. The aunties proceeded to do so, each pledging 200. They won, but then the tiong runner said he had to take the monies from his boss to pay them. They waited and waited, and I then went to take my fav salted caramel drink at the hot beverages session.
When I came back, the aunties were still waiting for him to pay them. He never did in the end. And I think he outlasted them standing at the same table. I think if the victims were men, a fight would have started.
So just a PSA - to never take bets outside of the table, esp when dealing with these tiong runners. If the aunties had lost instead, I think the tiong runner would have no qualms collecting from the aunties
