Getting a Chemistry Degree?

Hey guys I want to know any of you all or ur friends/relative have a chemistry degree? I would want to know the job prospect of having a chemistry degree in singapore. I ask some of my friends but most say will come out become teacher as a career which I do not want. So can anybody can enlighten me?

Singapore have limited chemistry related jobs in both private & public sectors.

So when they cannot find jobs, they will try to secure any job to match their 'graduate range of salary' which is a GEO1 (Teacher) job with MOE.

It's not really hard right? U can run searches on job sites and see what's avail. Some jobs out ther don't care about major ie advertising. With the right connections or CCA experience u can enter such industry too.

U are not really limited to teaching.
Want to make big $$ do well and head overseas to read a phd. Today the growth is in battery or energy research and stay overseas. Ppl arm with a phd doing research makes over usd$80k easy.
