Hi guys,

I am currently looking to get a new rig that is able to support some programming, NOX and gaming. I will also prefer if it can run dual screen and also have a case that is not too big.

There are some parts that I would like to reuse from my old computer, like: TOSHIBA DT01ACA200 2TB HDD
Sony Optiarc 24X CD/DVD Writer ODD

My old computer is using a ZOTAC GeForce GTX 960 Twin Fan 2GB GDDR5 OC, I am not sure if I should continue using this or upgrade to a better one.

My budget will be around 1-1.2k, I do not need any additional peripherals. As for the OS, I still have my Win7 disc, not sure if I should change to Win10.

Hope you guys can help me out, thanks!

ASROCK H110M-HDV + i7-6700 - $549
KINGSTON or GSKILL VALUERAM 2x8GB - $144
FSP HEXA PLUS 550W 80+ - $68
OCZ TRION 150 SSD 240GB - $98
WD BLUE 1TB HDD -$72
TECWARE ALPHA FULL ATX TOWER - $69

TOTAL: $1000 exact :s13:

Price all from PC THEME.

These are the cheapest of everything decent, not yet counting in the discount the store might give.

You can choose to change anything above to stuff of your preferred brand or value. Up to you. Hope this helps :)

That depends on your usage and how heavy is your programming. Hahaha. If heavy usage then the hyper threading from i7 will be beneficial for you.

i5 can work too. If budget is a concern then down to i5 also okay.

For now, I'm just using doing C and Java programming. I'm not sure what other types of programming I will be doing in the future.

One screen for gaming/programming, 1 screen for web browsing/watching shows.

I'm only running 1 nox.
