Getting back from JB

On a weekday what is best time to get back from JB to Singapore at the causeway? 7 pm, 8 pm ?

Last night, I crossed over around 7.48pm. already long queue at Custom. fortunately for bus which I took, waste about 20min. those driving one.... stuck. When I cleared SG custom, it was already past 8.32pm

Frankly, did not expect any jam at all.... but it just happen. One of those days

Yesterday was Monday, a day when people who were there for a long weekend holiday and want to avoid the Sunday evening crowd, as well as those "early birds" from KSL pasar malam, return. Still school holiday period.

Just to share I came back today from JB caught the 170 bus at 8.20 pm. smooth traffic along the causeway and customs all very fast. By 9,25 pm I was at AMK MRT station.

It used to be the case when I drove in, I had to factor in the "supper & petrol" crowd, which usually flood the car lanes around 10pm till midnight.

Actually heard complaints about the SG custom system since many months ago, but looks like there's still no improvement.

Especially during peak hours, we'll notice the frequent breakdown. Give me an impression they're still on Pentium 386.

To avoid congestion at causeway and immigration, best to travel on weekdays around 9 am and return after 8 pm.

You'd be surprised how many Singaporeans go to JB to work daily. I'd say give yourself minimally 2 hours to the time you want to arrive at Senai Airport from Woodlands.

Now SG custom very worst special in morning. Previously when school holiday most of it no jam but now different. Got school holiday or not still jam like hell. The SG custom system sibeh lousy and they system down is very often.

I went in last Thursday, no problem at all. OF course, cross custom around 9.35-40am. No jam and so smooth. Even during school holiday I don't face much issue except in Dec. I travel in every month. Seems so normal to me. Sometimes, it is just your luck that jam occurs.

I went to KSL for parsam malam on Monday. Went in the afternoon, as usual, not much traffic. Coming back, depart City Square at around 7.46pm, by the time I reached MY custom, from the window, already saw long queue of cars. Something which I think does not really happen at that time. Cars got stuck, but bus, waste about 20min to get through.

What time? usually no jam going in. However, sometimes it just happen. I had tracked morning traffic condition for several weeks and had stopped doing it now except to track the afternoon condition stating from 4pm. Most time, no jam. Even Saturday and Sunday I track. I set my hp alarm to remind me. If you really want to do your homework, you should monitor before you go in.
