Hi mods,

I just got infraction of 3pts for posting sales thread which was being deleted, and allegedly was accused of being split up, and was asked to consolidate them.

Now I have a RAM and an Ipad for sale.

RAM -> I had to post in CPU, RAM & Mainboard Bazaar sub-forum

Ipad -> I had to post separately in IT Garage Sales or Electronics Bazaar sub-forum

Isn't the sub-forum created for this purpose, to more clearly separately the items for sale?

I did not post the same posting simultanously accross in different sub-forums. Therefore I don't understand why I am getting infracted for this.

Please advise. thx.

no reply from mods?

I just want to know what is the forum's rule stand so that I can post in peace. Like in the example quoted above, to post separately or to consolidate together?

- to post separately: I am fulfilling the structure of the sub-forum, so I shouldn't be infracted in the first place.

- to post consolidated: then what is the purpose of dividing the forum into sub-forums?

You can post the items intended to sell at any appropriate forum. But, consolidate the items into single sale thread if you want to post all of them in IT Garage Sales.

If more than 1 thread posted in the same forum, you will get infraction for spamming sale threads. You can post the items in separate appropriate forum but not in every forums with the same items, doing so will get infraction for spamming sale threads of the same content over multiple forums, downright spamming violation.

In simple term and example, you can post the RAM in either IT Garage Sales or CPU, RAM & Mainboard Bazaar sub-forum but not both. You can post the Ipad in IT Garage Sales (if this is the only thread by you) or Electronics Bazaar but again, not both forums.

Basic rule, if more than one sale thread in the same forum, you will get infraction for spamming sale threads. if the same items posted in more than 1 forum, you will get infraction for spamming sale threads of the same items across multiple forums.

My reply:

Infraction coming your way for your Ipad voucher sale thread posted in IT Garage Sales for having more than 1 sale thread (refusal to consolidate into 1 sale thread).

Sorry to hijack, but just wondering, I ever received infraction for repeat threads which have not been bumped for a month. Because I wanted to change the thread titles, but there was no way to, I waited one month for the thread to disappear before creating a duplicate thread, and I got infraction, so how am I supposed to change my thread title? Seems like the mods have gone bonkers on this thread repetition thing, making the forums no longer so conducive for sales...

Dear Member,

You can edit the first post of your old thread to >>>Closed<<< when your sale has concluded without bumping the thread.

Moderators and Administrators will close these threads and will not penalise you for creating new threads when you have done so.

that is exactly my point also.

Some said you can edit the thread title in "Go Advance". Yes, it does edits the title, but u can try "Search" for the keyword by "Search by title", but the original title still stays.

That makes many pple to open new threads with a new title, but end up kenna infracted for it. This is really unreasonable.

Comparatively, you do the same title edit experiment in VR-Zone, their system does behaves correctly, after u edit the title, the new title will stay.

HWZ forum have this bug, and end get penalised for it.
