Hello,

Anyone got recommendations as to which telco to use for SIM cards for mobile data only? 1-3 GB should be enough for the 16 days here... mostly just comms via WhatsApp or Messenger... not for video or surfing...

Thank you!

SIMBA, 3x $5 senior lines.

They can use all they want, and then you terminate after. Coverage may not be the fastest or greatest, but it should suffice especially if they are in more popular touristy spots.

They can even call each other with unlimited SIMBA-SIMBA local calls.

I pass my $10 SIMBA SIM (in my tablet) to my relatives when they come, and they have no complaints. They can use all they want, even make calls and all. So it helps them. When they leave, I just pop it back into my tablet. If you have a senior at home, then just take advantage of the $5 promo.

Thank you bro! Nice! Is each senior restricted to one line or can register any number of lines?

Buy tourist prepaid SIM. The big 3 telcos have them, still can use in Malaysia or Indonesia.
I don't like to lend my spare SIMs to overseas guests, later they forget to return my SIM. Prepaid card they use their own money to buy, they can do whatever they want with it.

It depends. My relatives are not well-to-do, so any little bit helps. :)

They are also responsible and honest, so they have always returned the card before leaving for the airport.
