Getting new motherboard?

Currently using an m-ATX mobo and thinking of upgrading to a full ATX one. I'm using a mid tower case at least I know the size won't be a factor.

But what else do I need to worry about? Windows? Re-applying thermal paste?

May we know the reason of changing of motherboard size? (i.e. require more PCI-e Slots, more SATA ports?)

Otherwise, no point changing, save $ and use current one will do.

If you insist of changing motherboard, yes, Windows installation and Thermal Paste are the main problems. Also, ensure that socket is compatible with your current processor, RAM (Speed) Compatibility as well.

Cable management. What's there to worry sia. Nothing at all... but u upgrade for what? U need the extra pcie slots or sata ports?

i really dun think u shld spend the money just to upgrade for the sake of 'future proofing'. u might as well wait until when u REALLY need it.

Well if u are using windows 10, just link your email acc to win 10 and u can try and see if u can reuse or not.

You can try ZrE0_Cha0s method first, otherwise you can try calling Microsoft, but no promises that you can reuse the key.

have used the same m-atx mobo for 5 years now bro and i still DON'T see a need to change it. Unlike phones where every increase in performance is required by the OS and apps to run, I feel that PCs have plateaued somewhat unless you are running intensive workloads
