Getting Sony A7C

I got Canon 5d mark 4. Due to the heavy weight I am thinking to get above full frame but light weight and compact camera for travelling.
Just wanted to know your thoughts and opinions for sharing. Thanks.

But view Finder is very small and low res.

I was a 5d, 5dmk2 user that jumped to A7r and I regretted nothing, but ymmv.

Ergonomics will be abit different, slight learning curve for buttons and menu, electronic vs optical viewfinder.

Try handle an a7c in store and see how it feels.

Personally I’ve tried and I wouldn’t mind the small form factor of A7c. Unfortunately. The VF of a serious letdown.

There are various autofocusing adapters from cheaper ones all the way to expensive metabone ones.

AF speed may take a hit

May I ask you a question relating to Sony camera.

Before I pay the camera this sat. I’m looking around the internet for a zoom lens for my sony. Something of which that is similar to my previous Kit Lens 24-105 IS STM lens.

other than 24-105 GOSS, I’m looking at 24-70 Zeiss, which review of it wasn’t good. Could be kind to offer anything similar without GM?

another alternative is to buy Sony E - Nikon Z mount.

Else for portability and price. I may have to think again or just by A7c because 24/105 weights 650 grams.

I know the A7cM2 is around the corner that’s why the price for A7c has dropped to 2.2K for new body. I’m seriously stuck. Could be kind to share you what you think of this. Because I value the weights of the camera. And have decent sized VF like EOS RP which is “0.39 that is hard to have the balance for both.

I might change my mind. If I do get that camera. To ensure the camera is as small as light as possible. I’ll have to get new Sony 20-70 G lens. So my total cost will be around 4K in totality. Out of my budget for that .

I went Sony store and look around camera before I buy tomorrow. And a kind sales lady suggested that I should just wait for A7cii first and compare before making hasty decisions as she received many complaints about the EVF. Even A6600 is better than A7c.

So I’m only to keep my hard earn cash in my bank or invest for now.

And she told me even if I want to buy A7c when A7cii is released. It will even be even cheaper to buy A7c by then.

she herself also bought things hastily and hope I don’t do this same.
