Hi guys,

i just recontract my singtel adsl plan to singtel fiber broadband..first thing though previously i m still using Linksys EA4500 router and aztech modem.

Was wondering if still possible to linkup the router for fiber broadband? the installation part will come with a modem and ont, so wondering if the linksys router can be used as well?

Will it be difficult to setup as well? as previously on bridging mode..

appreciate any advice given as im quite rusted on my network knowledge already.TIA.

unlikely because the singtel fiber is tag. Meaning only singtel supply router can be use. you can use any router of your choice if the fiber internet is untag.

Pls call the singtel to make ask if you can untag the fiber internet as you want to use your own router.

YES you can use any router after the singtel technician install for you..
Mostly after 1 day then next day you can either keep the PACE ROuter and
use the new modem that you have to have a better speed.

.

to use fibre optic
you need new equipments provided by singnet
dont bothered with older modem/router
it wun attained the high speed
which is why singnet give you the free pace(previous was 2wire5201) router
my recontract still used the older 2wire 5201 router and the original ericcsson ont...
worked liked hell
