Quote for you from singlife. Will quote 500k death/tpd due to 30% perpetual discount which is going to be cheaper than 250k death/tpd

500k death/tpd till 70, 200k multipay till 65 - $1965.60/year

if is 250k death/tpd instead, it will be - $2018.60/year

Thanks for the information 😊 why is it 250k death/tpd the premiums are higher?

Because singlife have 30% perpetual discount if base death/tpd is 500k or more thus cheaper. And singlife multipay is 1 of the better 1 in the market. Its pays out 300% for late stages ci and up to 2 times of it.

Are there any CI plans that will return the premium if there are no claim when the policy term ends?

There are but this “no claim bonus” is still factored into your base plan. You could do more with that delta amount at the end of the day because the whole point of insurance is not supposed to get a refund on your premiums should no claim occur.

Hi all,

28yo, finally trying to get started on my insurance journey. Currently I hold income's vivolife 350 + early protect accelerator rider for early & intermediate stage DD. I didn't put much thought into this when I bought it in 2018 (honestly its pretty expensive @ $661 monthly including overweight premium). I seem to be lacking hospitilisation insurance, would the GE supremehealth A/P plus be a good complement with what I have? What other coverage would I also be lacking? Appreciate the help thanks!
$661 monthly for a wholelife is very expensive for your age. How many year payments and what the amount of coverage?

Depends on what’s your premiums period and coverage amount for $661/month…..

for hospitalisation, there’s a thread on it, tho I am a GE agent

if your current wholelife coverage amount is sufficient, can consider getting hospitalisation and DII

Wow, that’s some steep loading even for your age. Do note that if your BMI exceeds a certain level, getting insured with any of the shield providers can be really tricky because additional medical requirements are not going to be your best friend.

While most shield providers are largely similar, the biggest impacting change come mid 2023 will be the coverage for Cancer, specifically those on the MOH “Cancer Drug List” and those not. Based on accessible knowledge on the market now, GE does offer a pretty high CDL coverage.

Mostly actually as long as its due to accident and covers outpatient. Done claim for manulife pa plan for physiotherapy, no issue
Thanks! I was looking at the Mindef group personal accident. And they specifically excluded physio. 😄

Then I looked at great Eastern but they only stated "medical expense reimbursement treatment (incl treatment by complementary medicine practitioner up to $500 for each and every accident)". Not sure if physio is included.

Will take a look at manulife.

Mindef PA doesnt covers any outpatient at all if i am not wrong. Only markets PA plan covera outpatient. Manulife pa plan is as low as $96 per year only. My clients have no issue on the physio claims so far

Age 36, looking for Term Insurance (100yrs), got quote from Prudential as follows:

Covers till age 100 but pays 30 years? What is the point of paying finish earlier? Term should be pay as you use.
age 36 is next or last birthday? Smoker or non smoker?
Quote from SA
Base on age next birthday 36 non smoker
1million death/tpd till age 99 - $3724.50/year
1million death only till age 99 - $3425.35/year

Your term is for 64 years till 100? Generally term for death/TPD coverage is pretty straightforward. The person dies or fulfill TPD payout is easy to claim already. Suicide is eligible after 1st year too. TPD can’t be self inflicted and a few more exclusions but you’ll see them in your policy illustration.

Does the 30 years means limited payment?

how come coverage till 100yrs?

U can share your gender and smoking status, we can quote so u can compare too

does the Pru quote have TPD embedded? Otherwise death coverage is straightforward
