LIFE insurance is not for yourself anyway.

but yes ILP no reason to buy.
True. But the folks you gift to think otherwise IF they are wealthy and do not need you to pay premiums TILL END OF LIFE (beyond Retirement) Other Term and Endownment Policies ending at life event stages are better.
One ILP I bought did make money but I quickly redeemed it upon seeing 5 digit gain that year. Correct 1xK

You can always sell the policy.

I don’t full get your point

This is just like stocks in wrapper.
So nothing special about ilp

Can i check for GE

If Complete Living Care Rider is for both ECI and CI && Living Care Rider is for CI,
Why do ppl buy extra CI , when Complete Living Care Rider can cover both?

e.g
Great Term: Till Age xx
$500k Death/TPD
$200K Complete Living Care Rider (ECI)
$100K Living Care Rider (CI)

Why not
Great Term: Till Age xx
$500k Death/TPD
$300K Complete Living Care Rider (ECI)

Hi. To answer, $300k ECI is more expensive than $200k ECI + $100k CI. Both your examples give CI coverage of $300k but ECI coverage differs. Sometimes it can be a slight budget issue so to fit the needs, a compromise here.

I already have 1M term (death/TPD), plus 250k of ECI and 250k CI (accelerated) with GE at the moment.
Do you guys still recommend adding on CI and ECI from Mindef group insurance (Singlife), or just max out the 1M term life + 1M personal accident (which is probably what everyone should do..?), and skip the CI/ECI? Understand that CI/ECI from group insurance starts out cheap but it gets expensive at around age 46.
Am late 30s at the moment with a baby.
Opinions welcome!

A question on personal insurance:

I've recently started strength training more seriously, and am thinking if I should take up a PA insurance in case I got injured.

Wanted to check on 2 things:
1. Does PA insurance cover accidents in Gym? Since mostly it could be "self inflicted"?
2. Is there any particular company that offers gym specific insurance?

If its purely due to accident and not overly exercise or over what u can do then can claim. My customer got rejected b4 due to doing what he/she can do but afterall is how and what u write the story during claim.

Singlife Group personal injury + Living care plus is a straightforward lump sum payout once detected the ECI?

Is going through an independent financial advisor better due to them covering different companies or a dedicated FA to a company?

no diff? since price the same?
But different companies would have a different variation in their plans? Eg. for IHS, some covers only 120days post and pre hospitalization, some cover 180 days. Will an independent financial advisor be better in this case so they can compare between the different insurers?

ah so you are not asking about price. but more of the ability to consider the the options.

IFA might be better. though I think GE and Pru only available through dedicated FA i think. but i reckon IFA can compare all

I’m becoming a father in a few months, what insurance to buy for my baby? I’m thinking private hospitalisation then downgrade later. For myself I only have GE great total care B and great supremehealth B plus.
