Getting things from Taobao

AliExpress also get their stocks from the same China factories right? Should be same quality.

But does it offer something extra like free returns?

Disclaimer: personally never used AliExpress before.

For Aliexpress there is a wide variety of (free) shipping options

China Post Ordinary Small Packet Plus is the cheapest, and slowest, usually take 2-5 weeks to deliver, and the tracking is quite dismal

China Post Registered Air Mail and Aliexpress Standard Shipping are more reliable, with more decent tracking, and usually deliver within 2-3 weeks

Their customer service is helpful and prompt, BUT a lot of seller either really don't understand English, or pretend not to understand English

My experience with Aliexpress is fairly good, a few occasions of bad purchase - but it's a probability game isn't it? when we buy from China, out of 10 purchases maybe 1 or 2 will be a lemon, but overall we still save quite a bit

On legit cases I managed to get refunded (then you need to hound the banks coz although refund in USD is same amount, the SGD that is refunded is usually less coz of all the surcharge)

A lot of items from Qoo10, are obviously taken from Aliexpress/Tabao, just that more costly but they can ship faster since stock is already in SG
