GFX Recommendation for FFXIV ARR

Hi all, may I ask for advice for buying a new graphic card for my gaming needs for Final Fantasy XIV: ARR?

I have a budget of up to $300, so I have been looking at 650Ti Boost, 7850 OC, 7870 OC, etc. It seems to me that the 650ti/ 660ti family cost a lot more yet in most cases, give less performance output as compared to 7850/ 7870 family. I could be wrong of course....so red or green camp for FFXIV ARR with my budget?

If it helps at all, I am currently playing on full HD on 24" LCD. Thank you for your input!

Im looking at xfx hd7950 atm. Based on newegg's price is 229.99 usd with 4 free games which has crysis 3 and 3 other which u can choose. Power wise is 2-6pins. So ur psu if is 550w just nice. Only thing u need ship from USA using other souce. If buy from amazon is same price but dont have crysis 3 free. And shipping is free.

Oh did I mention is it life time warranty.? Mail in rebate to xfx usd30. But have to send in to us address...

7850/650ti should be able to max out relatively easily
Get the 2GB version,should perform better in mmo type games I think
Consider getting 660 if can find good deal
Amazon got that Asus 660ti on offer now,just bought one myself too,can consider

Well basically for $300 the max you can go is the powercolor 7870 myst 2gb.

Ff14 requires gtx660.

So this is how it stacks, gtx650ti boost = 7850 < gtx660 = 7870 non Tahiti < gtx660ti = 7870 Tahiti base.

So the best bet and value will be the Tahiti variant. Powercolor 7870 myst 2gb at $292.

I bought a 7950 from Amazon for US$230, which made into SG$301. Runs FF14 like a charm

I found a Leadtek 650Ti Boost 2GB at $227. Sounds like a good buy

1920x1200 I dont know, but certainly my oc 7950 fly over 60fps most of the time at 1920x1080. Of course huge FATE is an another matter, can't expect stable framerate when there're so many things going on right?

Go for maximum man, it's worth it. Local warranty is overrated

650ti boost is very close performance to gtx660. Its basically performance boost till almost a gtx660. But no point lah. Cause it is working so hard to reach its peak. You are better off with a gtx660 or 7850. And ff14 runs better on gtx660.
