[GFX] Recommendation for gtx 970

I suspect my current gtx 680 is running towards the end of its life

Recently my various game keeps causing my system to hang after running for a couple of mins

Upon reboot, it will freeze b4 my desktop shows up, with a short white horizontal line or the page half drawn

On other occasions, the game will go black screen, as if the graphic processing went dead, then come back on again after 5 secs

If its indeed a graphic card prob, any budget gtx 970 to recommend below $550, preferably $500
