I am trying to get Ghibli tickets and because it is completely sold out in Japan, my only hope is JTB. They have tickets for the dates I want to go (17-19July) but I need to purchase a night stay with them.

My room nights are already booked (airbnb), anyone booked/booking with JTB that I can hitch my tickets on?

Please PM me. Thanks!

Yes Ghibli tickets are really a pain T_T
I previously bought some tickets for my friends when I was overseas and you need to buy it like 3 months in advance and even so, some popular dates might be sold out too!

To add on the headache, the entire system is in Japanese and you are even required to fill up a Japanese name and phone number (not in the guide). It was so embarrassing to hog the entire queue of the machine at Lawson because I couldn't figure out the jap.

Anyway, good luck to you! Sorry that I can't help.. struggling to look for my own tickets for this coming end June but I've already given up..

Last time I was there, the Lawson staff helped me purchase the tickets. :D

There is a Lawson near the ticket place.
Go there and buy the tickets.

Might have to show foreign passport.

Thanks! I know they still have tickets at JTB Singapore, but my rooms are booked so there's nothing much I can do unless someone helps me out. If you really want to go "govoyaging" sells the tickets but they are 7X the original price. The link that thesal posted also replied me so I'm trying that too!

no. I actually thought i could just purchase online when I last checked the lawson ticket website. but thanks to your thread i went to confirm. you can only pre-order online and you need to make payment at lawson within 2 days after u booked online. :s22:

but there's an option to pay by credit card and have it delivered by post for 641yen. the other option is to collect over the counter which you have to collect within 3 days.

correct?

there is a ghibli shop at skytree but I didnt have a chance to drop by. ghibli museum shops sell books, dvds, cds, plushies, badges, postcards, puzzles, clothes.

u can register for that t-tix account and buy online, and either collect and pay at Lawson within 3 days or pay online and extra for delivery to have them delivered. no idea if they deliver to tenso not thou.

suggest u try refresh and check every day. Igt mine last minute. think some ppl reserve and didn't collect ;)

I received inside help from dmitri_can when i wanted to get a pair of Ghibli tix last time i went there. So to anyone whose looking to purchase the tix without overpaying for them, look him up and he can assist you with purchasing the tix early but if it's all sold out by the time you plan on going there then i don't think he can assist you any further.

Anyone body tried buying from JTB by booking a night's hotel stay with them and then cancelling the hotel thereafter?
