This is actually old news. Gigabyte have been bundling this exploding PSU with their RTX 3000 series card quite frequently on the likes of Newegg since the start of the shortage. What this tells us is, don't just assume quality product from reputable brands.

I hope their mobo do last a long time. lol.
Used a z270 entry level for the 7700k previously and lasted me for 4 years until i decided to upgrade. Now using their z490. So far no issues (fingers crossed).

all companies have made some crap products, currently have some crap products, and will make some crap products at some point. so i think best to pick based on user reviews than around the supposed prestige of a brand...

Using users review also must screen carefully. Some due hard brand users will also put up good comments. Need not to mentioned now a day many are paid reviewer.

It's more like newegg have too many Gigabyte PSU that they need to clear stocks.
I am not sure if it is Newegg or Gigabyte here. Generally, it is the manufacturer that makes that decision if I am not wrong. Otherwise you should see the same PSU being bundled with GPUs from other manufacturers.
