Gigabyte definitely not known for their storage, i would stay away.

Stick to the big boys: Samsung, Kingston, Sandisk, Adata, Intel, Cruical(if you feeling lucky).

1TB Sandisk SATA SSD is $100 USD on Amazon right now, unbeatable value.

I've seen quite a few DRAMless SSD from Gigabyte which are cheap, but not advisable to get. For higher end SSDs, the price and performance just don't stand out to warrant trying them. Like Adata Sx8200, it is fast and very competitively priced as compared to the top dogs, so it may be worth trying it out.

Gigabyte reliable? First of all, you need to consider that it is not experienced in the SSD market.
Thus, probably just a rebrand of another SSD. If the price is too good, check if it is a DRAM-less SSD. If it is, avoid. The SSD will spoil quite fast. Thus not reliable. Not to mention, the speed will be way slower because it does not have that DRAM.

Go for what people suggested. Samsung Evo series, Adata XPG SX8200 Pro PCIe Gen3x4 (NVMe) SSD like the other person mentioned. Reason why I am specific, Adata does carry some DRAM-less SSDs. So that specific super cheap SSD is actually the best with a DRAM as well thus is reliable.

Samsung SSDs are great to begin. Have DRAM and all. So safe and high quality along with reliability.

Different segments of the market for different products have different companies that specializes and is reliable on the market. So best not to assume a known brand in another market equates to a safety net for you that the company will be reliable in that market as well.
