If resources are not dictated by the nature supply and demand... Then it is not a fair open market. It is compulsory allocation of resources.

China has no large oil reserves and needs a plan reduce their reliance on oil by modernising their country to use alternate energy sources like hydro, solar, wind and nuclear power. This also helps to solve their air pollution in their cities. When was the last time you read about smog in China cities?

China has been investing heavily in alternate energy sources and this is really good news for the rest of the world. America is now stupidly stuck with Trump in oil and unable to make any breakthrough in alternate energy sources. One day Singapore may need to buy a thorium nuclear power plant from China instead of US.
