1 million km between failures. then can have failures that last 7 days. Want better than that? Please pay more.

Defug is he talking about? So many years of fare hikes is to do what? Isn't "Reliability" a core duty of public transport operators, besides "Safety"?

Knn, don't talk so much, kick him out in the next Election!

As if the recent breakdown did not cost taxpayers?

What CHT is actually saying, he is not confident that even with more maintenance at higher cost, the system will be more reliable....

If this is his caliber, is CHT a cost to taxpayers?
We are also not confident that even with the increased pay of his salary at higher cost, the quality of his work is also not reliable.

that kinda sound like a threat. so is it one?

i guess we could say large scale public transport breakdowns may come at a cost of public support. even more so when costs go up further.

Should give them all 2k basic salary with meals provided.

Every 1 million miles with no breakdown then payout bonus.

Everytime increase 1% for fare, reduce bonus by 10%

got $$$ to build the white elephant Founders park... no $$ to do up the public transport! Money should make to good use for the best of the public.... not something to show off........... Also this joker....... keep pushing COE high and Car lite country..... but cannot maintain the public transport that serves the major..... PLEASE VOTE CAREFULLY

Since when a government ministry is responsible for the profitability of private companies?!?!
None to be exact and by right.

BUT in Singapore's system, MPs earn additional incomes from private companies they're in, so... their incomes and bonuses are hooked to the profitability of the private companies, which lead to the conflict of interest and the "by left".
