going overseas during weekends?

guys i m serving as nsf now, if i apply 1 day leave on friday go penang, can i return on sunday? or must i exhaust another 2 days of overseas leave? are we allowed to go overseas during the weekends?

you need to apply from friday to sunday but since sat and sun are non-working days, you will only consume 1 day of leave.

Unless things changed, I don't think you can apply thru NS portal right. You either have access to their computers and apply yourself or you apply thru your commanders or the people handling leave issues. And even if can, instead of asking why don't you just go try it for yourself since you can't apply by asking.

Like what was mentioned previously, you need to apply for leave for fri to sun cause you can only go overseas when on leave but not off, but will only consume one day of your annual leave. But as far as I know again, unless things changed, the system doesn't allows you to start or end your leave on a non working day, so you should just have to apply for Friday and indicate in the remarks and also maybe give your commanders heads up that you will be overseas during that period. Anyway if you have to apply thru someone then problems solved...

probably you will need to obtain the leave application in hardcopy form, where u n ur RO and AO will endorse n submit to your S1 Br.

If you have access to Intranet it'd be better to use that. Because eventually the S1 clerk still has to type in the info into the intranet. Save his trouble and approval will be faster.

If you are going oversea for more than 24hrs, you need to apply for Oversea leave already. If kena caught = gg
