Of course you don't need. Just make sure you don't shout/raise your voice at customs.

the overseas form is just exit permit.

from my understanding, for NSF, trips under 3 months don't need exit permit.

Why don't you go into ns.sg to try and apply and see what it says. the most you waste 15 mins of your life filling in the online form.

That's for NSmen..

For NSmen, more than 6 months need exit permit.

previously less than 6 months need overseas notification. but i think recently change to less than 6 months and more than 14 days than need.

just tried and it says it's only applicable to nsmen. so can i assume i'm ok?
for NSF, by right only weekends and leave then can go overseas.. off cannot.

the electronic system cannot let u end ur leave on a weekend (the last time i know) nor can it let u take "overseas leave" (even though it wouldn't deduct) on weekends..

so the next best alternative is just to inform your boss... apply paper leave in the end also need to key in system 1 lor... then weekends also can't be keyed into the system so ur encik just want to go the traditional way and keep paper copies lor..

ns.sg got portal for nsman, mindef and NSF, make sure you tried the correct system.

last checked, exit permit applies to everyone under the enlistment act. that includes, pre-enlistee, nsf, regulars and nsmen. Just requirements and exemptions different.
Link

again, what I saw was under 3 months no need exit permit for nsf.

Try this link Enquire Exit Permit Eligibility (MINDEF only)

They will tell you if you need to apply for EP after you fill in the details. And who to contact if necessary. At least thats what they show me.

I have no idea what the others are talking about. I only know leave entitlement in SAF and exit permit has no link at all.

if u ask me, I think you are safe to go if you took leave and/or it is a weekend. the most anything, come back get fined only. :s13:
