Going to US - iPhone 5S compatibility, Speed

Anyone has any experience with their iPhone 5 or iPhone 5S in US? Will we be able to get 3,5G or 4G speed?

I am keen to know if we can buy a pre-paid SIM Card to call and mobile broadband at the same time.

Yes, voice and SMS will function normally. I'm wondering if the 3G or HSDPA or better LTE will work at all for high-speed data. Better if there is a local SIM available.

Our Singapore iphone have

1 (2100 MHz)
2 (1900 MHz)
3 (1800 MHz)
5 (850 MHz)
7 (2600 MHz)
8 (900 MHz)
20 (800 DD)
38 (TD 2600)
39 (TD 1900)
40 (TD 2300)

Which means it will support

When i am at the west coast during iPhone 4s era, only GPRS no 3G =(

I will be going to the east coast this december, I will be getting T-Mobile, USD$60/month (I will be there for 20 days) Prepaid Cell Phone Plans, No Credit Check | Monthly 4G | T-Mobile
T-Mobile uses band 4 but SG set doesn't support band 4 =(

Depends on which US telco u get the sim card from. I got a t mobile one and tried to use it on my lg g pro, didn't support 4G or even 3G.

So T-Mobile is a no go. How about AT&T? It is a GSM based network as well. Will be going with iPhone 5S and Note 3

Actually the better deal is tmobile 3 bucks daily prepaid. Unlimited talk and sms and 4G data up to 200mb(meaning 6gb per month).

Thinking of keeping my Singtel SIM in the iPhone and put a US data SIM into iPad3 - not sure if personal hotspot is enabled on these prepaid plans?

Will be landing in JFK and layover for a couple of hours before transit to Orlando - seems that there's an AT&T retail outlet at JFK T4, hope they are able to process such services for non-US visitors.
