my chrome pages some times load halfway and then stop. I have to refresh a few times before it is fine. (it is intermittent). I tested my connection with speedtest and it is fine.

Not sure if it is caused by ublock origin as the issues only happened recently when Chrome said that they will stop supporting ublock origin
Strange. Like others have suggested, try to reset chrome and try again. Also clear cache and cookies

Can also try on another device, and another internet source (e.g. Via phone usb tethering) to narrow down the variables

Any good ad blockers to recommend?

I think my ublock origin is screwing up my chrome and firefox
I block on network level. 1 setup covers for all.

Try installing Pi-Hole and set your DHCP's DNS ip address to point to the PI-Hole. Let it handle the blocking for all the devices on the network.

My DNS is now on cloudflare

I'll do some research on Pi-Hole.

Thanks for the recommendation

can I know how would you know which adblocker to turn on for which site?
Is it just try one first and if the ads get though, you enable the other one?

AdGuard is good in blocking YouTube ads. But I a bit paranoid about Russian companies so I only allow the extension access to YouTube and EDMW just to block the ads. The other site ads not so irritating.

i switched from chrome to brave which has its own in built ad blocker

but sometimes when watching youtube, monitor will suddenly black out then have to force restart pc

happen a few times and always when watching youtube so i suspect is brave's ad blocker

really dunno how to bypass all these annoying ads...
