I paid more than if I would to order from SGbest. The credit card exchange rate was not favourable :(

Hmm you chose DHL shipping, that means it's £458 in total. Convert that to SGD based on today's xchange rate, that's $916.692.

You include GST, that's up to $980 liao. So if you mark up the CC company xchange rate... then $1009 is just about right...

Should be around 2.05 pounds to one sing dollar...

Net total is 1009, if I'm not wrong DHL will automatically charge the GST into the shipping... if not they will contact you to pay the GST and like that the 1009 got something wrong liao or CC rate very high.

If assuming is 1009 net, that means cheaper than SGbest, but SGbest comes with 1yr warranty, buying straight from UK has no international warranty.

I am out now so all I remember is my card is 1009. When I get back I can verify again. :)

In any case, won't it be easier to just get from SGbest?

it depends. If you are going to root the phone immediately (cos nexus phones are so easy to root)

then who the heck cares about warranty. :D

Lol, I sent my Nexus One to the HTC center once to repair the damn power button that was affecting many users then. That was 7 months into using the phone.. so I was grateful for the warranty..

On a side note, my CC company charged me 2.09 SGD to one pound on a transaction I made in end November... and at that time the actual currency rate was 2.035. So it should be even slightly lower now..

ok ppl...i took the plung from sgbest...

the 16gb is really damn in my opinion but what the heck....i told myself i will only buy nexus phones from now on....no matter what...

my first android phone was a nexus one....then i got the htc sensation and although i think that's an adequate phone....the fact is the htc sense (or any other vendor's overlay) just isn't for me...
