That's one thing holding me back, ordered a TPU case for it already.

Here's a comparison of the two. Silicone cases should be stretchable right? Also depends how tightly the case fits the original one

Dont buy chiong battery. I thought the NFC need the battery in order to work. if u buy chiong one it might not work anymore.

is NFC supported in SG? google wallet can work here? if not then it's a moot point regarding cheong batts not supporting NFC.

You have forgotten about Android Beam....Google has already released SDK for developers. Once other phones are upgraded to ICS the NFC functionality will be much more relevant in Singapore (Current relevance if u have 2 Galaxy Nexus).

This is far possible, easier and relevant than deploying NFC for payment or google wallet.

Moreover, I have never known any chiong battery that can perform on par with the original stuff. Not to forgot about the fear of it damaging the device and voiding warranty.

You have forgotten about Android Beam....Google has already released SDK for developers. Once other phones are upgraded to ICS the NFC functionality will be much more relevant in Singapore (Current relevance if u have 2 Galaxy Nexus).

It's a moot point for me definitely... 95% my friends are fruit lovers.. those 5% on android won't go for SGN cos they not so hardcore android fans.. even as it is now, I've never seen a Nexus S in the wild and only saw a couple of people with the Nexus One. The Nexus line of phones is definitely exclusive in SG.

Think must wait till this android beam comes to more phones then got hope of actually using it on a large scale.

The Nexus One wasn't for sale in telcos. You have to buy at retail price straight from the Google website. Singapore was one of the 4 countries that Google could ship to at that time for the N1. Well it didn't gain traction obviously since most people won't shell out money for a non contract phone. I ordered it straight after they launched the webstore and did not regret it for the 2 years I have it.

How is the NFC working with SMRT? Please explain a bit lor.. Dont know anything about NFC working in Singapore, I thought they are still trying and testing it here.
Also, I dont think google wallet works in Singapore, does it?

I think it includes GST. All Mobyshop prices include GST.. says so in their FAQs section.. I dont think they have Local Warranty though.. Manufacturers warranty will always be there, except that we need to ship to the right country for warranty claims.

got GST? then it's cheap. cos there's another shop which also sold the SGN export set then never inc GST, so it's misleading..

in their website they put :

so does it mean that they'll ship it back for u for free if u're in singapore?
