Hey Colin, since you have used the SGS2, note and Nexus, is it safe to assume you prefer the nexus among the 3? Any feedback why? Cause I considering between the 3 when i'm recontracting soon. Really quite undecided though. But I would want to make the best informed decision.
Thanks for any feedback!
For the 3 phones' comparisons below, the assumption used is that all the phones are not rooted or using custom ROMs.
SGS2 - Nice form factor (slim); specs are good and current; batt life good (compared to the other 2); tons of accessories to bling your phone; screen's resolution lose out to the other 2 (only noticeable if you look very closely); lags (unless using custome ROMs).
Note - Big screen (unbeatable for web browsing & media playback); batt can last whole day for me; Screen is HD-ready at 1280x800; lags; awkward when answering calls (negated by the use of BT earpiece); some apps not optimised for the screen.
Nexus - smoothest & virtually lag-free OS I have ever used for an android device (even when using 3rd party launcher such as ADW Ex). IMO the smoothness can rival the fruity phone; Screen is HD-ready at 720p; Batt life sucks (can only last me 3 quarter of the day); Runs hot compared to the other 2 if used continuously for 20 mins(near the camera module); Some apps not optimised for ICS yet; no micro-sd expansion.
You shld also bear in mind that SGS2 & Note are scheduled to receive the ICS update. But Sg Samsung is not exactly known to be fast in this dept.
