Yeah...according to the tweet..although as you can see in the tweet they didnt mention their source, no further details lor!

What is the cheapest option right now for the Nexus? Guys, who bought already, could you please verify the following:
Mobyshop/Mobilesquare - SGD 890 (inclusive GST, actually they dont charge GST)
SGBEST - ~950 (including GST and shipping)
Expansys - ~970 (including GST and shipping)
UKhandtec - ~980 (including GST and shipping)

Any other places, am I missing here? According to this, mobyshop/mobilesquare etc are the cheapest option right now, but no warranty! SGBEST has warranty but it is 60SGD more expensive! Wow I am confused what to do now! Hehe Any suggestions! Thanks for the help guys!

Cheapest is to get from overseas but no warranty and will take some time to deliver here.

Sgbest price of 950 does not include gst. A few of us here bought from sgbest and it cost a total of 1029. At least got warranty.

Yeah you are right about the no warranty deal for imported sets..

But the SGBest price is 950 including GST. Actually their base price has dropped considerably since their launch... Now the base price is ~880.. I suppose it used to be around 915+..

Is it? When I got my Nexus One from google USA (Ah, the good old days!), the delivery guy charged me the GST. I suppose, thats the way GST charging works for importing.

So, I assume that you didnt have to pay anything to the delivery guy..

Right now, Expansys is listing the G Nexus for ~865, shipping is 30 SGD. Thats what confuses me actually.. If shipping is 30SGD, looks like they are not located in SG, in which case the delivery man should ask us the GST fee... Of couse I am not complaining, just want to be sure of the total price before ordering.. :)

According the Help Centre of Expansys, they give a standard warranty of 3 months. Extended one year warranty can be purchased for additional 47 SGD..

i bought it was 859 + 30 delivery charge.. e stock is in hk.. oncr cfm they will give u e trackin order quite fast e delivery.. no i did not pay anything to e fedex guy.. my c.c just charge 889..
ya agree last time order from google for nexus one so easy..

I added the set to my cart at sgbest($879.48), input my country as singapore and there is a additional delivery charge of $6.93.

If i opt for a self collection at their office which is quite near where i live, i understand the delivery charge would be waiver?

So am i right to say that i only have to pay $879.48 for the set through my cc?

I liked it better when google sold "their" phones directly from their webshop too :( although I seem to remember being charged the GST when I placed my nexus one order and gave a delivery address in singapore. So not paid to the delivery guy, but collected by the google webshop itself.

Btw how long does shipping from expansys take?

And yeah, I doubt you can brick the galaxy nexus while rooting it. In fact I'd say root it the moment you get it, just so you don't have to fastboot oem unlock and get the phone wiped in the future :)
