No it's not. You can download the app "android system info" to check or "GN official update checker" by Christian Bruggemann. Yakju is meant for GNex "issued" by Google (mostly us & uk sets). But that doesn't mean you can't change yours to yakju build. Look it up in xda.

Thanks for the info. I haven't bought the phone yet, but I know what is yakju build. Just want to know what build local sets are getting.

just a sidetrack.

When i delete sms thread in my GNex, seems to lag for a second or so before i can scroll thru the threads.

Do you feel excitement on this Galaxy Nexus comparing to S2 ? In which areas ?
What features are not beating S2 (known thing ,camera resolution)

No doubt ICS stock software quality will beat the S2
Known S2 shortcoming:
1)stock browser inaccurate text reflow /fit to page
2) Stock English keyboard is rubbish

- Multi-color LED NOTIFICATION (This is a BIG plus for me)
- Super fast camera shot
- Fastest official OS 3-12 mths than the rest of the non-nexus phone
- Resolution at 1280 is sibei shiok

What features are not beating S2 (known thing ,camera resolution)
- No SD slot (I don't use more than 16GB so not a deal breaker for me since I store most photo on cloud)
- It is not slim enough compare to S2

You buy nexus device for the 'hackability, and developer support....so regardless of samsung's support of the GNexus, rest assured that you will get the latest android updates.....officially andunofficially...

Despite Galaxy Nexus Hardware is from Samsung (SS), Software stability wise..there is hell and heaven difference between Samsung and Google vanilla(no 3rd parties crap wares) .

Samsung has improved over time but not good enough..couldnt understand some of the rational of Samsung acts to screw thing up..

1)Browser- tweaking the browser to be dumb, cant do text reflow autofit nicely..Galaxy S2 2.3.3 to 2.3.6 same piece of ****..

2)Stock keyboard, Google stock keyboard is far much much better than Samsung branded keyboard. I dont know what Samsung has tweaked to make it retarded on text correction ..

People used keyboard and browser on daily affair..

Have to agreed on that samsung keyboard.. i replaced it with swiftx on my S2 but on my GNex, i am still using the stock keyboard

use the ICS keyboard with accurate multiple voice input(Enable more than one language) feature..brilliant ..I am Cantonese, nothing beat able to type in Cantonese Style of Chinese..some more the voice input is not per sentence but keep recording till you are done..
